Let's celebrate the Global Wellness Day
The Global Wellness Day is celebrated every year the second Saturday of June; this year will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12th, 2021.
Global Wellness Day is a fully non-profit social project dedicated to living well, with the main purpose of asking the introspective question: “How can I live a healthier and better life?”
Even if for just one day, this special day promotes a positive direction of thoughts in both individuals and society towards “living well” and to raising awareness for that purpose.
The main aim of this special day is to pause and think, to recognize the value of our lives, to be free from the stress of everyday city life and bad habits, to make peace with ourselves and to raise awareness about living well and increase motivation for more than just one day of the year.
Our suggestion: start now (and here)!
Today is the best occasion to start taking care of yourself.
You can spend this special day at the spa, a place of health by definition, to savor the slowness and pleasure of the actions that make us feel good.
Let yourself be lapped by the thermal water and the bubbles of the whirlpools; be massaged delicately, savoring the oriental scents of ancient Ayurvedic treatments; enjoy a tasty but light lunch; or again, an interview with our naturopath to take home a customized program, start a detox or alkaline program ..
You can find here lots of offers, to be experienced today and continued tomorrow.
To learn more: Global Wellness Day 7 step Manifesto
In order to make Wellness a lifestyle, Global Wellness Day aims to adopt the following seven simple steps.
What is important is not to implement all of the steps all at once, but to incorporate at least just a few of them into your daily life on a regular basis.
- Walk for an hour: You feel happier as you walk because the brain secretes endorphin while you are walking. You can keep fit by walking. Your muscles get stronger, you lose belly fat, the level of cholesterol reduces and it helps you overcome your weight problems.
- Drink more water: People who drink less water might suffer exhaustion, attention deficiency and memory problems. The more water you drink the less carbonated drink you consume.
- Do not use plastic bottles: The plastic bottles made of petroleum waste cause innumerable damage to our health and the environment.
- Eat healthy foods: Try to consume foods which are produced through natural methods by using appropriate fertilization and weed control techniques without using pesticides and certain chemicals.
- Do a good deed: Do a good deed to break your prejudices, to make the world a better place to live. See how you will change your life by changing someone else’s.
- Have a family dinner with your loved ones: Eat a family dinner with your loved ones in a room where, if possible, there are no smart phones and TV. Talk about your day. Listen to each other’s recommendations.
- Sleep at 10.00 pm.: Sleep is a critical process during which our body regulates everything and repairs and heals itself. It slows down ageing and protects us from diseases.
Wellness is the conscious development of the whole self, an active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life.
It is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. It determines how we ultimately look, feel, interact with others, and thrive in life and work, the cornerstone of quality of life.
Every day will be a wellness day!
