Thanks to the mild climate and volcanic soil, the Euganean Hills, in central Veneto, have been an ideal habitat for the cultivation of vines and olive trees since ancient times.

The unique and extraordinary Parco del Venda vineyard, which extends across the Euganean Hills Regional Park, has been producing wines in this incredible hilly landscape for many years.

Its products can be divided into 4 macro categories: sparkling wines, still wines, terroir wines and SuperUva (PIWI).

Sparkling Wines For Toasting Life

Sparkling and semi-sparkling wines have always been synonymous with joy and conviviality. The Charmat method (or Martinotti method) produces fresh, light wines with fruity notes and the perlage which is typical of all bubblies.

Our wine selection at the Pepita Restaurant offers Prosecco, undoubtedly the wine of the moment. The extra-dry version, with its evident foam and bubbles, is highly appreciated and conquers all those who drink it with its freshness. Great for any occasion.

Still Wines

These are the typical and autochthonous wines of the Euganean Hills, offering great structure.

Our wine selection stocks:

• Cabernet: the product of the best bunches of grapes selected from the vineyards in Boccon di Vó and Vó. It’s an intense ruby red, bursting with aromas, and has a robust structure and a balanced, velvety flavour. Recommended for cosy, informal dinners.
• Pinot Blanc: White wine with greenish highlights and a pleasant, delicate aroma. Excellent with starters, aperitifs and fish.

The French term Terroir expresses the pure, non-reproducible synergy created by the soil, in terms of its chemical and morphological composition. The area’s exposure to solar radiation and the microclimate make the vineyard unique, producing grapes with unparalleled aromatic characteristics.

Our wine bar stocks:

• Boccon: a great product of rare strength and excellent quality. It should be served in a large glass so that it can release all its aromas. A wine to be sipped slowly. Surprising when paired with dark chocolate.
• Lapilli: Pure Merlot characterised by incredible structure. It’s beautiful shades of purple and has a warm, full-bodied and smooth taste. Typical notes of Merlot, hints of ripe red fruit and spicy notes; ideal for pairing with grilled meat and sausages.

Both wines won the gold medal at the 2022 “Emozioni dal Mondo” international wine competition, held in Bergamo.

SuperUva: refers to innovative vines which are resistant to fungal diseases. These vines are sustainable and environmentally friendly as they require very few chemical agents for plant protection, with the aim of producing excellent wines with an exciting variety of flavours. They really help the environment because very few pesticides are introduced.

In this category, our wine bar stocks the award-winning White Swan Sauvignon Kretos (International Piwi Wine Award 2022 held in Frasdorf, Germany, in September 2022). This wine is made from resistant vines, as they keep away the most common diseases.
